How mid-sized companies get off to a successful start with business process management – with MR.KNOW – BPM.

MR.KNOW – BPM: getting started via automated invoice processing

Business process management (BPM) supports the control and improvement of business processes. For anyone not yet using such a solution, the BPM experts at Inspire Technologies recommend automated invoice processing tailored to individual needs with the MR.KNOW – BPM suite as an entry point into the world of IT-supported process management.

According to a study by the Software Initiative Deutschland (SID), companies suffer damage of five billion euros year after year due to inadequate business processes. For almost 70 percent of the companies surveyed by Pierre Audoin Consultants (PAC), BPM is therefore one of the most important topics. In the field of invoice processing, a particularly easy entry into the BPM world is possible – step by step, business process management can then be extended to further areas of the company.

The solution template for the MR.KNOW – BPM suite enables the use of standard notations such as UML and BPMN 2.0. The advantage is effortless adaptation to industry and company requirements without additional programming effort. Using the template, further processes such as contract management can also be linked with invoice processing.

From document capture through paperless distribution and the posting of relevant invoice data to payment approval, MR.KNOW offers a modular system that brings together capturing, workflow and archiving. After scanning, all relevant data is compared and checked against the order data in the ERP system; various systems such as ERP, ECM or CRM can be connected.

Andreas Mucke, Managing Partner of Inspire Technologies GmbH, comments: "Even though many companies have now recognised how great the potential is that lies in BPM, mid-sized firms in particular still shy away from process management due to unfounded fears of complexity. Invoice processing offers a good and manageable opportunity for companies to become familiar with BPM."
