A new digital colleague for the policing of the future

The helper for case processing and much more – the POLICE ASSISTANT from MR.KNOW.

MR.KNOW POLICE ASSISTANT – digital colleague for policing

As in all areas of the public sector, a serious shortage of skilled staff is emerging in the police force as well. Officers are retiring, too few are following on, and there is always too little personnel available for serious crimes. It is important that the know-how of experienced staff is not lost. MR.KNOW offers the solution: it turns that specialist knowledge into process models.

Conventionally, the BPMN 2.0 modelling standard is used for this, but MR.KNOW can also generate a model on the basis of a plain description. This means that subject-matter staff can create initial applications or changes entirely without programming. Whole legal texts, regulations or service instructions can be captured in this way and put into operation.

One application example for MR.KNOW is the Cyberguide. Especially in such a fast-moving field as internet crime, every minute counts. Complex legal texts are processed with MR.KNOW in no time and the digital assistant is trained. In this way it can support its colleagues in handling complex cases by initiating real immediate measures: it secures data and evidence through automated queries, informs victims or prevents flows of goods.

But MR.KNOW is active in policing not only in combating cybercrime. It can also assist officers with border protection. For example, it can automate the asylum process by providing all the required documents digitally and guiding users through the application.
